Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 June 2026. THRIVE is built to be useful without knowing who you are. This page explains what we record and why.
The short version
We do not ask for your name, email, or any detail that identifies you. When you complete a self-check, we record your anonymous answers and result so we can understand how people use the tools and make THRIVE better. There is no way for us to trace those answers back to you.
What we record
When you press the button to see your results on a self-check, the site sends the following to our database: which area and scale you completed, the answers you selected, the score and feedback band you received, the page you were on, the date and time, and a random one-time identifier created for that visit. That random identifier lets us group the answers from a single sitting; it is not stored on your device, is not linked to you, and is gone once you close the page.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, contact details, date of birth, or any direct identifier. We do not ask you to create an account or sign in. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share data for advertising. The self-checks are for reflection and are not stored as a personal health record.
Why we record it
The anonymous responses help us see which areas people find most useful, spot questions that may be confusing, and improve the content and design over time. We look at the information in aggregate, as patterns across many visits rather than individual answers.
Where it is stored
Responses are stored using Supabase, a hosted database service, in a project located in Canada. Access is protected so that the public website can add a response but cannot read back what others have entered. Only the THRIVE team, using secured credentials, can view the collected information for analysis.
How long we keep it
We keep the anonymous responses only as long as they are useful for understanding and improving the site, and we may remove or further aggregate older records over time.
Your choices
Taking a self-check is always optional. If you would prefer that none of your answers be recorded, you can simply read the information on each page without completing a self-check. Because the responses are anonymous, we are not able to find or remove an individual submission after the fact.
Children
THRIVE is intended for adults, particularly older adults, and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site develops. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the current version always applies.
