Lifelong wellness, at every age

Thrive at every age

THRIVE is a friendly, evidence-based guide to living well as you grow older. It turns the science of healthy aging into six simple areas you can act on today.

What does it mean to thrive?

Your best version of you

Thriving does not look the same for any two people. It depends on where you are starting from, the health you have, the people around you, and what matters most to you. There is no single finish line and no standard to measure yourself against.

What thriving means for one person at one time in their life may be very different from what it means for someone else, or for the same person a year from now. A good day might be a long walk, or it might be getting outside for a few minutes, sharing a meal, or simply feeling a little stronger than last week. All of these count.

At its heart, thriving is about living the best version of the life that is available to you, with the body, history, and circumstances you actually have. The aim is not to be perfect or to do everything. It is to find the small, doable steps that help you feel more like yourself, and to keep building from there.

How to use this site

Three simple steps on every page

Check where you are

Answer a short self-check built on a tool that researchers have tested with older adults. Your feedback fits your own answers.

See what it adds up to

Read the evidence behind each area, with links to the studies and, where the research supports it, a calculator that puts numbers to the benefit.

Take one small step

Pick a single change that suits you, and find trusted organisations ready to help you follow through.

Start with one area today

You do not have to change everything at once. Choose the area that speaks to you, take the self-check, and let one small step lead to the next.
